Spanish School and Surfing

Surfing season is back in Canoa for 2009. Prime surf conditions and warm ocean temperatures prevail throughout the coastal "invierno" which lasts from mid-November to late April. Canoa has become one of the most popular surf destinations in Ecuador. This is due to a combination of fun and reliable beach breaks along with the laid back charm of the area itself. With perfect beach breaks, sandy bottom and no undertow, the ocean is very forgiving to novices and still enjoyable for more advanced surfers.

The Canoa Spanish School offers surfing enthusiasts the chance to brush up on their Spanish skills, and offers Spanish language students the opportunity to enjoy some free time by learning to surf at one of the prime surfing locations in Ecuador. Board rentals and lessons are readily available in town at inexpensive prices, and can be arranged or recommended by your tutor.
